Old gold is gold or gold jewelry that is no longer used. It has nothing to do with how old the gold is. Gold does not age in the sense that it would wear out or change over time. Gold and gold jewelry, which is already 100 years old, therefore does not have to be referred to as old gold. Rather, gold is old when the actual use for it is no longer given. Dental gold or gold teeth, inlays and gold fillings can be assigned to the term "old gold".
